· Start by ensuring the first bay is correctly squared from all directions. Continually check that the installation remains plumb while installing subsequent bays. Only anchor the footplates after all bays are verified for correct installation. Avoid trying to adjust the plumb after anchoring, as this could damage the racks or cause injury.
· Once the entire row is constructed, install and tighten back connectors according to the correct torque specifications.
· Inspect each section to ensure all installation procedures have been accurately followed.
· Install shelf accessories, like crossbars and decking, after the racks are anchored. Ensure they are evenly spaced and secured according to manufacturer guidelines.
· Include a detailed check to ensure that the racking system meets the specific load requirements and safety standards of your region. This involves regular verification during the installation to maintain compliance with all safety and building codes. Throughout the installation process, research and adhere to all manufacturers' requirements for the chosen rack and components.
