Ground flatness requirements: Ground flatness has an important impact on the operating efficiency and cost of narrow aisle shelves. Changes in floor height differences can cause the forklift gantry to shake, amplifying the static tilt of the shelf and forklift. According to the European standard EN25620-2008, the horizontal position of the ground should not exceed plus or minus 15mm of the reference point.
Earthquake-resistant design: Since the height of narrow aisle shelves is usually between 10-15 meters, the shelf structure requires special earthquake-resistant design. If conditions permit, the shelf structure should be selected after finite element analysis.
Guide rails: The channel width of narrow aisle shelves is generally between 1.6-2.0 meters. Guide rails must be set on the bottom of the shelf to provide driving guidance for three-way forklifts. The guide rails are designed to ensure that the forklift can travel stably in narrow aisles.
Forklift type: Narrow aisle shelves mainly use narrow aisle forklifts (also known as three-way forklifts) for storage and retrieval operations. The load of a single pallet generally does not exceed 1500kg.
Applicable scenarios: Narrow aisle shelves are suitable for scenarios with large storage capacity, frequent goods in and out, and high picking requirements for goods, such as pharmaceutical, home appliance, machinery/auto parts warehouses and supermarket distribution centers, etc.
